Lil Skies Takes A Quiz On His Idol Lil Wayne [Video]

Lil Skies Takes A Quiz On His Idol Lil Wayne

Lil Skies recently appeared on Genius‘ “The Genius Test” series to take a quiz on one of his biggest influences in music – Lil Wayne, which you can watch below.

At the start of the video, the Pennsylvania-born rapper called Tunechi “the G.O.A.T.” and revealed how Tune influenced him to be himself in his music. If you recall back to last year, Skies paid homage to Wayne with his “A Milli“-inspired music video for “Welcome To The Rodeo“.

Some of the questions that Lil Skies got right included finishing the lyrics off from “6 Foot 7 Foot“, which artist is not signed to Young Money, how old Mr. Carter was when he first recorded under the name of Baby D, what was the title of the Destiny’s Child single that Weezy appeared on, and more.

Skies got a total of 76% on this quiz and some of the questions which he got wrong were: the title of Lil Wayne‘s debut studio album, which DJ hosted the Dedication mixtape series, what project Wayne released exclusively on TIDAL, and listing as many Weezy and Drake songs that he could in under 15 seconds!

Lil Wayne Got Off His Private Plane To Pay Respect To Around 30 U.S. Military Men

Lil Wayne Got Off His Private Plane To Pay Respect To 30 US Military Men

After performing live in Bloomington, Indiana on March 3rd, Lil Wayne headed to the IND airport so that he could leave the city and head to the next one on his “The Dedication Tour“.

Just as Tunechi‘s private plane was set to take off, a Lockheed C-130 Hercules military aircraft pulled up next to him. Tune then told his pilot to shut down their engine, so that he can go and meet all of the men in uniform (there was around 30) and shake their hands, as well as thank them personally for their sacrifice.

Amanda Lickliter was one of the people at the airport who witnessed all of this and she shared a post on her Facebook page with a photo saying how impressed she was with Wayne‘s act of kindness. You can check out that photo and message after the jump below!

I’m sure Weezy F Baby‘s music has influenced every one of us in different ways, but it’s always nice to hear his music saving people’s lives! Lander recently tweeted this message on his Twitter account too: “Would like to thank Lil Wayne for making Tie My Hands. It kept me alive when I stepped on an IED in Afghanistan. That song is inspiration.”

N.E.R.D – Soldier (Feat Lil Wayne, Santigold & Fam-Lay)

NERD Soldier Feat Lil Wayne Santigold & Fam-Lay

Here is the CDQ version of N.E.R.D‘s “Soldier” joint which features Lil Wayne, Santigold, and Fam-Lay from their upcoming album titled Nothing. The thing I don’t understand about this version of the song is that they have removed Weezy‘s verse (you may remember it from when N.E.R.D played it live on Jimmy Fallon), and just kept him on the adlibs. Anyways, it’s better than nothing… you can stream/download the track below:
