DJ Bootleg Kev sits down with the Generation Now record label founders DJ Drama, Leighton “Lakeshow” Morrison and Don Cannon for episode 38 of the “The Bootleg Kev Podcast”.

During their conversation, Don reveals what beat he thinks changed his life as a music producer, which he goes on to say the “Cannon” record on Lil Wayne‘s Dedication 2 mixtape.

While discussing the process behind “Cannon” (watch below), the Philadelphia native says Trick Daddy, Bohagon and Busta Rhymes all originally had the instrumental before Weezy.

He even mentions that he has an unreleased version of the track with Tunechi rapping over the beat for 3 minutes straight, so I wonder if we will ever get to hear that? Drama also added that “Cannon” was the last song Tune recorded for D2.

For this week’s “Feature Friday” installment, I have chosen the original version of DJ Khaled‘s “Out Here Grindin’” single featuring verses from Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, Plies, Lil Boosie, Trick Daddy, and Ace Hood, as well as a hook from Akon.

The official version of this The Runners and Jim Jonsin-co-produced collaboration that replaced Weezy‘s verse with a verse from Jeezy appears on Khaled‘s We Global album, which was released back in 2008.

Birdman recently did an interview with Hot 97’s “Ebro In The Morning” radio show to address issues with Lil Wayne, Drake, Nicki Minaj, Tha Carter V, Charlamagne Tha God, Rick Ross, Trick Daddy, gay rumors, “respek”, childhood, guns, and plenty more.

During their conversation, which you can watch and read below, Baby revealed that his and Tunechi‘s problems are more from a “misunderstanding” than issues over money, as well as that him and Tune still talk.

He also confirmed that his and Wayne‘s relationship has “changed”, but he is confident it will “work itself out” and they are “gonna figure it out”. Like Birdman also said in his interview with Angie Martinez last year, he is still sticking with the answer that he would drop Tha Carter V if Weezy wanted to!

Last night, Lil Wayne attended LIV nightclub in Miami, Florida to celebrate a new line from his TRUKFIT clothing brand. He was joined at the club by Birdman, Mack Maine, DJ Stevie J, Hood, Turk, and others.

During the evening, Baby got on the podium to stand next to Tunechi and let the world know a few things about how Tune will always be his son. He also sent threats to possibly Rick Ross and Trick Daddy:

“Family never die. This my motherfucking son and I’mma die for him, I’mma live for him, and I’ll motherfucking kill for him, ya heard me. That ain’t gon’ never gonna change nigga, it’s YMCMB for life and we gon’ live this shit until we motherfucking die.”

“But you bitch niggas that be saying my name, bitch I’mma pull up. And I ain’t gon’ pull up talking, ya heard me, belee dat. Rich Gang for life, YMCMB nigga.”
