Lil Twist Confirms Lil Wayne Is Working On A New Rebirth - Velvet Type Of Album

Lil Twist was the recent special guest on the Smash & Dash podcast, which is an uncensored weekly series that is hosted by former NFL players Chris Johnson and LenDale White.

During his interview, Twizzy talked about the music industry, his come up, signing to Young Money before Drake, recording diss songs for Drizzy as a joke because he was dropping before him, his ex-relationship with Justin Bieber, stories from their friendship, Tyga meeting Kylie Jenner after him, his top 5 artists dead or alive, a Young Mula bus story, and more.

Lil Wayne Appears On Car Test, Reveals He Is Still Working On His Velvet Album

I previously posted plenty of pictures just under 3 weeks ago, and now the latest episode of Elliott Wilson and TIDAL‘s “Car Test” series with Lil Wayne is available on YouTube.

Throughout the episode, which you can check out after the jump below, Wayne can be seen chatting to Elliott while driving around Miami in a Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG 6×6 and listening to his brand new album, Funeral.

In their conversation, Weezy talked about wanting to keep his Rebirth album series going with the “Funeral” title, including songs that he recorded years ago on Funeral, why he still does intros, outros and skits on his projects, and confirmed he is still working on his forthcoming Velvet album.

Tunechi also spoke on learning how to create hooks after Mannie Fresh and Juvenile used to do them for him back in the day, trying to pay attention to new generation rappers, how his collaboration with The-Dream came about on “Sights And Silencers“, and much more!

Everything You Need To Know About The Original Version Of Lil Wayne’s “Tha Carter V” Album After The Leak

Everything You Need To Know About The Original Version Of Lil Wayne Tha Carter V Album After The Leak

A couple of days ago, a lot of the songs (20 in total) from Lil Wayne‘s original Tha Carter V album surfaced online. I was not going to make an article about this, but too many people are hitting me up asking about it, so I’ve decided to do what I did when the Velvet Sessions project leaked online.

Due to copyright laws, I cannot post the tracks on this website, but for those who have heard the music, I will list what has changed on each record. If you recall back to 2014, CV was originally due to drop back then, but with the long lawsuit against Birdman and Cash Money Records, Wayne ended up re-recording the album and releasing it in 2018.

The full versions of “Mute” featuring a dope verse from Big Sean and “No Brainer” featuring a dope verse from Flow are also included in this new leak. I always tell people that Tunechi‘s best music in my personal opinion seems to be more his leaked music over official releases and hearing songs like “Life Of Mr. Carter“, “Scottie Pippen” and the hilarious “Form Good” confirms this statement even more for me.

You can check out exactly which tracks leaked from the original Tha Carter 5 project below! From the tentative tracklist we received in 2014, this now just leaves “Start This Shit Off Right” with Christina Milian and Mannie Fresh, “She Said Better Get ‘Em“, “Grindin” with Jeezy and Young Thug, “Brad Pitt” with B.o.B, “Mano Y Mano” with Gudda Gudda, and “Murda” with Flow as unreleased. If you have heard the OG C5 album, how did you like it and did you prefer it more than the official version we got nearly a year ago?
