In their conversation, Jason revealed he grew up around the corner from Lil Wayne and went to school with Turk.
The actor mentioned that he witnessed Tunechi record music from projects such as The Prefix and Tha Carter as he was the cousin of The Architects, who produced beats for Tune at the time.
Also in their convo, Jason Mitchell recalled seeing Weezy record a whole song and afterwards he was like: “man, I don’t like it, let’s start from the beginning.” Mitchell then added: “it blew my mind, that dude [Lil Wayne] is next level talented!”
