Drake Recalls Always Wanting To Be As Important As Lil Wayne & Confirms He Is Not Directly Signed To Young Money Any More [Video]

Drake Recalls Always Wanting To Be As Important As Lil Wayne, Discusses His Work Ethic & Confirms He Is Not Directly Signed To Young Money Any More

For a surprise on Christmas Day, RapRadar and TIDAL released a brand new 2-hour interview with Drake that took place at his amazing new home in Toronto, Canada.

At the start of their conversation, Drizzy revealed that his goal at first was to be as important as his “mentor” Lil Wayne and that he does not think anyone in music before or after will ever have the same work ethic as what Wayne has.

After talking about Tunechi‘s “most insane work ethic”, the 6 God then recalled witnessing Tune record 4 – 5 classics in one night and seeing Kobe Bryant walk in on the tour bus during his very first meeting with Weezy to get an early release of Tha Carter III on an iPod.

Later on in the interview, Drake mentioned Lil Wayne will always be one of his favorite music artists, how a lot of things changed when he went to jail in 2010, how Wayne doesn’t listen to no other artists when he is in album mode, and confirmed he is not signed to Young Money any more.

You can check out Drizzy Drake‘s full conversation with Elliott Wilson and B. Dot in the video below, which also includes him speaking on Kanye West, Pusha T, Meek Mill, Serena Williams, Rihanna, Jennifer Lopez, Tyler The Creator, The Weeknd, Nicki Minaj, PARTYNEXTDOOR, Young Thug, and much more!

Rick Ross Explains Why He Didnt Put Lil Wayne & Pusha T On The Same Song Together Even Though Both Teams Cleared Their Verses

Last month, Rick Ross stopped by HOT 97 to appear on their “Ebro In The Morning” radio show to chat with Peter Rosenberg and Laura Stylez, as well as to promote his latest album, Port Of Miami 2.

Around the 16:00 mark, Ross was asked why Pusha T did not appear on his and Lil Wayne‘s “Maybach Music VI” collaboration to which he revealed that both teams cleared their verses. However, he didn’t think it was the right time to put both of them on a song together:

“What’s so dope about it is that both verses were cleared from both parties, but like I said, it was more about the bigger picture. Is this gonna move them two getting together closer? And I didn’t feel like this was the time for that.”

After talking about “Maybach Music VI” (watch the full interview below), Rozay brought up how he would like to see a collaboration from Wayne, Drake, Kanye West and Pusha drop next year! Could you see a collabo like that ever happen?

Rick Ross Says Both Lil Wayne & Pusha T Verses Have Been Cleared For Maybach Music 6

Rick Ross sat down with Bootleg Kev and DJ Hed from REAL 92.3 in Los Angeles at the end of July for an interview, which you can watch below.

During their conversation at the 18:35 mark, Ross confirmed that he put both Lil Wayne and Pusha T on his upcoming “Maybach Music VI” song, which will be appearing on his Port Of Miami 2 album tomorrow (August 9th).

The MMG founder even added that we have to “wait” to see if both Weezy and Pusha do appear together on the track as he put it together without each of them knowing, because he wonders if their beef is really “personal” after all.

Rozay did confirm that both verses have been cleared, however, he did also go on to say that right now may not be the correct time for Tune and Push to put their 13-year feud behind them and move forward for the culture!
